Pro-Death Website Blamed For Suicide

Well, yes, if you instruct people on how to kill themselves, then surely you bear some responsibility when they do so.

Another Report Of "Self-Euthanizing"

Here’s another poster person for the UK pro-deathers – it’s also the second time today I’ve seen sucide referred to as “euthanizing oneself.” Creepy.
Motor neurone disease sufferer, 71, killed himself after watching euthanasia TV documentary by Alzheimer's author Terry Pratchett
A terminally ill man took his own life after watching a TV show about euthanasia by Alzheimer's sufferer Sir Terry Pratchett, his heart-broken wife has revealed.
Father-of-two Thomas Anthony Hobkinson had motor neurone disease killed himself at home, an inquest heard.
The 71-year-old retired auditor had watched a television programme about euthanasia by novelist Sir Terry Pratchett. more

Suicide Now Called "Euthanizing Oneself"

Ah, yes, the pro-deathers are now moving to redefine suicide – it’s now called, at least to one proponent, “euthanizing oneself.” Uh-huh.
Euthanasia debate: Wife's death video
The woman whose death has reignited the voluntary euthanasia debate filmed a video message to help clear her husband of any criminal liability.
Evans Mott, 61, walked free from the High Court at Auckland yesterday without a conviction after pleading guilty to assisting the suicide of his wife, Rosie.
Mrs Mott took her own life soon after Christmas last year. A few months earlier, she recorded a short film which Justice Patricia Courtney watched before yesterday's sentencing hearing.
The Herald has also watched the posthumous "farewell" message during an exclusive interview with Mr Mott.
"I'm making this movie so that nobody is under the illusion that I've been coerced into what I've done," said Mrs Mott. "Or I've been murdered, or for that matter, committed suicide. I am euthanising myself." more

More On The Final Exit Network In Minnesota

Here’s more about the indictment of the Final Exit Network in Minnesota.
Assisted Suicide Group Accused in Death of Apple Valley Woman
Five years after an Apple Valley woman was found dead inside her home, prosecutors now say four people illegally helped her commit suicide. A Dakota County grand jury has also indicted members of a group called "Final Exit Network" in connection with the woman's death.
The new charges have placed Minnesota in the middle of the on-going assisted suicide debate.
The case stems from the death of 57-year-old Doreen Dunn. Those who knew here say she was in obvious pain for years. Her struggle dragged on for years. more

Here's How The Media Supports The Pro-Death Position

Eres a media piece completely in the tank for the pro-deathers, trotting out all the usual arguments.

Here's a media piece completely in the tank for the pro-deathers masquerading as a thoughtful "discussion" of the issues.
The Choice of Life or Death
Doctor assisted suicide, death by choice or dignified death, whatever you chose to call it, it's an issue many are fighting for -- the freedom to choose when and how you die.
It emerges as the most controversial cultural issue in a recent Gallup Poll. Americans are divided 45% to 48% over whether it is morally acceptable or morally wrong.
One Lincoln couple made that choice.
"It's going to be a process, but I get it and I am so ok with it and I am happy they are together," said Kim Miller, the daughter of Carol and Ray Miller. more
