Abortion doc's affidavit rejected
A B.C. judge hearing a constitutional challenge to Canada's assisted suicide law has rejected an affidavit filed by Dr. Garson Romalis, an abortion provider who was shot at his Vancouver home in 1994.
The defendants in the case - the B.C. and federal governments - applied to exclude 17 affidavits filed by the plaintiffs, 13 of them from lay witnesses and four from experts, one of those four belonging to Romalis. more
