Here’s a fairly long piece masquerading as a balanced pice about euthanasia in Aussie, but, if you read it all, it’s just another pro-death piece.
We need to talk about euthanasia
Despite public opinion, as Australian law currently stands, notwithstanding consent, the intentional termination of the life of another person is murder. Laws against committing or attempting to commit suicide were repealed in the United Kingdom in 1961 and have been repealed in all Australian jurisdictions. However, a person who assists another to die, can be charged with a criminal offence.
As the general population has aged, diseases which were rare only decades ago, are manifesting themselves. Cancers, wasting diseases and also dementia-related conditions, are now reaching epidemic proportions. more
