Canada: Pro-Deathers' Arguments Getting Desperate


The pro-deathers are trying everything they can think of in Canada - including this silly idea, that there’s a right to euthanasia. However, they might actually get enough people to believe it if we don't stiffen our opposition in the coming years.
Ban on right to die 'discriminatory'
Should a terminally ill, disabled person have the right to seek help to end their life?
That's the questions that's been before the B.C. Supreme Court for the past two weeks. Closing arguments were heard Friday.
B.C. Civil Liberties Association lawyer Joseph Arvay argued it is discriminatory to prevent a disabled person from seeking assistance to commit suicide from an able-bodied person.
Arvay is representing 63-year-old Gloria Taylor, who wants the right to a legal physician-assisted suicide. She is dying of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig’s disease, and is slowly and painfully losing control of her muscles. more
