UK: Trying To Look At All Sides Of The Dying Debate


Here's a piece that tries to see all sides of the euthanasia issue in the UK.
Dying with dignity is what we all seek.
Helping patients to die with dignity is a golden rule for doctors. Helping them to die with Dignitas, the Swiss clinic that assists patients in committing suicide, would currently be a crime in the UK.
For doctors it is also likely to bring them before the disciplinary committee of The General Medical Council.
The doctors' dilemma is far more than a play by George Bernard Shaw. It is a very real daily experience. more
