Here's more on the challenge to assisted suicide laws currently taking place in Canada.

The right-to-die issue landed in B.C. Supreme Court on Monday as both sides in the argument squared off to state their often-emotional positions.
Meanwhile, protesters opposed to changes in Canada's suicide law gathered in front of the Vancouver Law Courts, warning that legalizing assisted suicide would open the floodgates for elder abuse.
An affidavit from a woman who watched her husband die in hospital was read inside the courtroom.
"It was a horror to watch Peter labour to die. Four days may not sound like a long time, but it is a painful eternity when you are helplessly watching your beloved husband suffer," said the affidavit from Grace Fenker. more
