They’re baaack!! The Aussie pro-deathers, that is. They were turned away last year in their bid to legalize euthanasia, but as we have learned, these people are very, very persistent, and so they’re back this year to try, try, and try again.
Euthanasia Bills will be back
STATE MPs Bob Such and Steph Key will continue separate bids to have voluntary euthanasia legalised.
This is despite Premier Jay Weatherill's decision to wipe all outstanding legislation ahead of Parliament's resumption.
Mr Such, a vocal opponent of Mr Weatherill's move to start the new year with a clean slate by proroguing Parliament, said the decision could help his Bill pass because he could now make changes that would win more support. more
